A great day for our Key Stage 1 gymnasts!

On Thursday afternoon, Mrs O’Neill accompanied 7 keen gymnasts from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to a KS1 School Games competition held at Tribe Dance, Cheer and Fitness on Cromwell St. Luckily, the girls were well prepared in their gymnastics lessons by Nikki from Flyte gymnastics, who even came back into school on Wednesday lunch time to run through their routine with them again!

All of the girls showed off their skills confidently and fluently with the team coming in 3rd position out of 7 schools: what a brilliant effort! Unfortunately, we were penalised as there weren’t any boys attending and the organisers said we had a good chance of winning if we had!

All of the children who attending should be super proud of themselves as it is very nerve-wracking attending a competition out of school, against other children when you are at such a young age. Well done to Isla, Eva, Elsie, Sienna, Emmie, Lacey and Eliska. Thank you to Mrs O’Neill for supporting the children, too!
