This week, Year 4 have been learning more about Ancient Egyptian symbols — this time, the scarab beetle.
We looked at why it was such an important symbol to the Egyptians, it’s association with the God Ra, and why it was important in the Egyptian’s burial ceremonies.
Next, we created our own scarabs. It was quite a tricky task, but the trooplets worked really hard and did a great job.
You could smell the concentration!
