Our School Council Blog

Our School Council is made up of the following dedicated people.

  • Supported by Mrs Bailey

  • - Chairperson
  • - Chairperson

At the beginning of the school year, we decided on what we felt our school council was for.

  • We work hard to improve our school and its organisation

  • We help change the school in helpful ways

  • We set an example to younger children

  • We get to work as a team who are always thinking

  • Both boys and girls are able to be involved.

As a school council, we meet once a month to discuss issues that will make our school a better place for us all. Each school councillor meets with their class and brings any issues to meetings for us to discuss.

So far this year, we have successfully raised money for Children in Need, Kidscape and Save the Children Fund.

We raised £140.60 for Kidscape during Anti-Bullying week, by all wearing the colour of friendship, yellow, and paying for the privilege.

For Children in Need, Years 5 and 6 were entrepreneurs for the day and ran their own stalls, that the rest of the school visited to spend their money. We raised £1933.16 and with Lloyds Bank matched funding that will be £2433.16.

In December, we all wore our Christmas jumpers for the day to support Save the Children and £252 was collected.

We would like to say a big thank you for

your generosity and support.
