Sports Review

This week has been very busy with sports events and fixtures!

On Monday, a squad of Year 5 children traveled to Moseley Primary to play in a hockey match. A fantastic demonstration of resilience and determination as they went a few goals behind early on, but they came right back into the game! All the children who took part should be very proud of themselves!

Wednesday morning included 20 Year 6 children competing in a School Games Athletics competition and all of Year 5 celebrating movement with Sky Blues in the Community!

Year 6 went to the Xcel all morning to compete in a range of track and field events against 4 other local primary schools. Mr Freeman and Mrs Bruck supported the children throughout and their effort and determination was second to none.

At the AT7 Centre, Year 5 completed their 6 week Sport & Move project by attending a festival hosted by Sky Blues in the Community. Along with 9 other schools, the children took part in a group warm up followed by practical activities and they even got to meet Sky Blue Sam!

Finally, on Saturday, a group of Year 5 and 6 children took part in the Coventry School’s Cross Country at Bablake playing fields. On a cold December morning, the children (supported by Mrs Dodd) completed a mile around the field as quickly as they could. A fantastic effort by all children – Well done!

We look forward to the Mini Pitch being presented to the school on Wednesday and a host of sporting activities after Christmas!
