Year 4 Macbeth Witches Poems

To kick-start our Shakespeare topic in English, this week Year 4 have been studying Macbeth.

We looked at the famous Witches’ Spell from Macbeth and had a go writing our own version.

The children all did a great job of using rhyming couplets, and many were even able to use “trochaic tetrameter” (that’s the technical name for the four beat ‘DUM-da, DUM-da, DUM-da, DUM-da’ pattern Shakespeare used for the Witches’ spell).
