Year 6 Crime and Punishment

6F have had a really interesting couple of days! We have been really lucky to have two sets of brilliant visitors to help with our Crime and Punishment topic learning. On Monday, we were visited by the police, who talked to us about what life is like in the police and even allowed some children to try out their equipment. We also had a fingerprints workshop where children learnt all about how evidence was gathered from crime scenes and had a go themselves.

On Tuesday, we had a visit from some magistrates (or judges), who taught us all about law and order and how different crimes are brought to justice. This finished with our ‘mock trial’, where unfortunately for young Jamie West, he was found guilty of theft by the 6F magistrates!
