WELCOME

Park Hill Primary School is situated on Lower Eastern Green Lane in Coventry and serves many families from Eastern Green and surrounding area. Over the next few years, the school is expanding to two-form of entry but we currently have 449 children on our roll including our Preschool children where we offer all day Early Years Provision for 2 and 3 year olds.

EXPANSION

Park Hill Primary School is generous in size. As part of an expansion program, the school has received investment into the building and we have used this to modernise some of our classrooms and create new learning areas for the children. Our children also benefit from a large playing field, a nature trail, garden area and playgrounds.

OUR ROLE

We believe that the role of Park Hill Primary School is to help develop well-rounded children who not only enjoy learning but are happy and confident too. We believe that we have a rich and varied curriculum and because our teachers are really skilled they are able to create memorable learning moments for the children.

WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL WEBSITE

The purpose of our website is to give visitors an insight into the work of our school, celebrate our children’s achievements and provide you with useful information about events that are taking place here.

We are excited to announce we will be running several holiday courses this October Half Term.

On Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd October we will be running a 2-DAY ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTS workshop for all beginner and intermediate brass, woodwind and string players. This will be held at Lyng Hall school from 10-3pm and costs only £10 for both days.

On Wednesday we will be running our popular POP-UP CHOIR WORKSHOP – SING!. This year’s theme will be Rock the Musicals and will be the first of several workshops throughout the year leading to a performance hopefully at the Godiva Festival. The event will be held at the Transport Museum 10-3pm and costs £5 for the day. This workshop is open to KS2+

And on Friday we will be launching our new Ukulele group with a UKULELE WORKSHOP. This is for beginner and intermediate ukulele players, KS2+ with a view to joining our weekly group. The workshop will be held at the Transport Museum from 10 – 3pm, and is £5 for the day.

Full details for all the workshops are available on our website www.coventrymusichub.co.uk including how to register and book your place on any of the workshops.

Numbers are restricted so book early to avoid disappointment.

We would appreciate it if you could promote these events to your pupils and add to your school newsletters. It would be great to see lots of children there enjoying music.

Good afternoon,

Please see below text and attached poster/graphic to promote an offer for your school for the next two Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey home games.

Please feel free to distribute this as appropriate.

We’ve seen a lot of new faces at our games recently, many who have really appreciated their school giving them the opportunity to come via our Sport in the Community offer, so thank you to all those who have helped.

***************

Coventry Blaze’s mischievous mascot Scorch the Dragon would love to see you at the Skydome Arena (Croft Road, CV1 3AZ) for one of the team’s next two games and he’s offering pupils, family and friends of our school tickets for a very special price of:

Adults £10  Under-16’s £7 (Max 5 per-person)

Scorch’s invitation is valid for the following games:

Half-term hockey night

Thursday 24th October: Blaze vs. Guildford Flames (7.30pm)

A huge game in the Challenge Cup. With just 3 games remaining in the group-stage, Blaze are currently 1 point behind the Flames who sit in a quarter-final qualification position, so a win is crucial.

Sunday Hockey night with FREE ice skating and skate hire

Sunday 27th October: Blaze vs. Nottingham Panthers (5.30pm)

A battle between two fierce rivals for Elite League points. A ticket for this game includes free ice skating and skate hire afterwards. The game finishes and skating starts around 7.30pm.

The normal price for a ticket is Adult £18 and under-16’s £10 so this is a great opportunity to join Scorch and enjoy the incredible family friendly Blaze ice hockey experience.

To book tickets:

Email: coventryblazehockey@gmail.com

Quote the name of our school

Say which game/s you would like to go to and how many adult and under-16 tickets you would like

Tickets will be collected and paid for (in cash) on the night of the game.
