WELCOME

Park Hill Primary School is situated on Lower Eastern Green Lane in Coventry and serves many families from Eastern Green and surrounding area. Over the next few years, the school is expanding to two-form of entry but we currently have 449 children on our roll including our Preschool children where we offer all day Early Years Provision for 2 and 3 year olds.

EXPANSION

Park Hill Primary School is generous in size. As part of an expansion program, the school has received investment into the building and we have used this to modernise some of our classrooms and create new learning areas for the children. Our children also benefit from a large playing field, a nature trail, garden area and playgrounds.

OUR ROLE

We believe that the role of Park Hill Primary School is to help develop well-rounded children who not only enjoy learning but are happy and confident too. We believe that we have a rich and varied curriculum and because our teachers are really skilled they are able to create memorable learning moments for the children.

WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL WEBSITE

The purpose of our website is to give visitors an insight into the work of our school, celebrate our children’s achievements and provide you with useful information about events that are taking place here.

Hi there from the Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey club,

We’re just writing to let you know that in a couple of weeks our exciting new look team will hit the ice for the 2019/20 season, and once again as part of our Sport in the Community programme, a number of times over the year, we’d like to offer pupils, their families and the staff from your school the opportunity to experience Blaze hockey at a significantly discounted price.

The new season will see us celebrate our 20th anniversary, and over that time hundreds of schools have helped us to allow thousands of people and families to enjoy live sport at an affordable cost.

If you are one of those, we thank you so much, and we know how appreciative the people and families that take up the offers are too.

For many people, the Blaze experience extends far wider than what happens on the ice. We’re exceptionally proud of our “family sport” tag where the age range of our fan base (2,500+ at each game) extends wider than any other sport. We’re also one of few who can claim to have an almost equal female/male demographic.

What happens on the ice is totally unpredictable, it’s sport after all, but what we can guarantee for your pupils, their families and your staff is a fun, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all, where friends can and will be made for life.

We are currently reviewing our list of distribution contacts and would kindly ask if you could reply to this email informing us of the following:

1)      Are you happy for us to send special offers for your school?

2)      Is the email address used a good one for us to send the offers to, in order for them to be communicated widely? If not, can you please provide us with an alternative, and person’s name if appropriate.

3)      Is email, with a promotional graphic included the best form of communicating the offers (for you to share, add to a newsletter, intranet etc.) or would you prefer physical leaflets which can be handed out in assemblies, classes etc?

4) Finally, would you be interested in the Blaze taking part in your school assemblies? Our sessions include topics such as healthy eating, anti-bullying and fun activities like dressing up as a hockey player.

We appreciate that the school year is fast coming to an end, but if you would like to share our offers, the first one is for all three of our pre-season games at the Skydome Arena in August and can be sent out as below.

Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you.

In just a few weeks’ time, an exciting new-look Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team will hit the ice for the first time and with additions like 6’4” former Toronto Maple Leaf #15 David Broll – they’ll be fiercer than ever.

As part of their Sport in the Community programme, they have invited everyone associated with our school to their pre-season games for a very special discounted price of £10 for adults and £6 for under-16’s (per-game).

The usual price is £18 for adults and £10 for under-16’s so this is a great opportunity to enjoy live sport, and the unique “family friendly” Blaze ice hockey experience.

The pre-season fixtures that you can choose to use this offer for are as follows:

Sunday 25th August vs. Nottingham Panthers (5.30pm) *

* includes free ice-skating post-game (£2.50 if you need to hire skates)

Wednesday 28th August vs. Manchester Storm (7.30pm)

Saturday 31st August vs. Guildford Flames (7pm)

All games will be at the Skydome Arena, Croft Rd, Coventry CV1 3AZ.

To reserve tickets, all you need to do is:

Email: coventryblazehockey@gmail.com – say which game/s you would like to come to – how many adult and under-18 tickets you would like and quote the name of our school.

Tickets will be collected and paid for on the night of the game.

This offer has a very limited circulation and is not transferrable

Deforestation Debat

It is getting very heated in 5D this afternoon! The children are representing different people contributing and affected by deforestation, in a class debate. We definitely have some very passionate individuals in our class. Many excellent points being made by all.

Conjunctions!

In English, Year 2 have been learning about conjunctions and how to use them appropriately. Today we played a game where we had two short sentences in our groups, we had to decide which conjunction would make sense in them to turn it into a longer, better sentence.

So Silly!

In Science today, Year 2 were talking about different materials and why they were suitable for different things. Then we got onto talking about silly objects, like why you can’t have a chocolate teapot or a jelly chair. We made some paper wellies and poured water on them….. uhoh, Catherine’s feet got soaked! The children […]
